The new hires will focus on research and development as well as manufacturing, as the company hopes to increase the output capacity at its Zhengzhou facility which produced approximately 545,000 vehicles last year, a 170% increase from the previous year. China’s EV giant has been operating its biggest production base in the capital city of central China’s Henan province since April, 2023, with around 60,000 workers.
